This course is designed to meet the 50 hour requirement for continuing education required to recertify.

Autry's forklift safety class meets all of the requirements set out in OSHA's 1910.178 Powered Industrial Truck Standard. Upon completion of this course, the student will receive a forklift safety card that is good for three years.

(Prerequisite: 24-hour or 40-hour Hazwoper training, Rural Fire Fighter/EMS) Students will review OSHA's Hazwoper requirements for the workplace. Couresework includes classroom instruction and a practical equipment review.
Energy Training Council, Safeland USA and Autry Technology Center partner to provide health, safety, and environmental orientation for the energy industry. This 10-hour orientation will cover PPE, Confined Space Awareness, Fire Safety, Lockout/Tagout, Hazcom, Environmental Awareness, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, H2S Awareness, Substance Abuse and other topics. Our primary goal is to reduce the number of preventable accidents. This is required training for many oilfield companies.

Phase I includes interpreting security guard law, first aid, fire extinguishers and writing field notes and reports. You will also interpret legal powers. Phase II includes public relations, fixed post duties, patrolling and investigating security incidents. Cost of the class includes first attempt for the certification exam.
