Learn and build upon the fundamentals of electricity and electronics in this combination theory and hands-on course. Basic Electrical Circuit, Electrical Measurements, Circuit Analysis. Includes circuits, switches, diodes, capacitors, transistors, relays, DC motor control, circuit protection and AC circuit troubleshooting. Also, AC electricity, advanced analog electricity and advanced digital electricity.
This course is designed to integrate the theory and application of fundamental fluid power principles and formulas. Students will gain actual hands-on experience with the functional characteristics of hydraulic components including pumps.
Apply the fundamentals of electricity to various industrial applications using electrical motor controls. Study industrial electrical symbols and line diagrams, logic as applied to line diagrams, control circuits, AC contractors and motor starters, revising circuits and electromechanical in solid state relays.
This introductory course in pneumatic fluid power not only covers theory and principles, but also relates application with industrial components. After demonstrating the principles, separate labs cover component inspection and performance, with tips on application in actual practice. This course stresses the building of safe work habits.
This course is the first step in learning to weld. The program is designed to teach the basics of oxyacetylene cutting with a focus on arc welding. You will learn to set up machines and equipment, shear, bend and assemble metal projects. MIG welding available upon request.
Explore the techniques of welding steel plate and pipe with extensive hands-on experience. Includes oxyacetylene cutting and welding with a strong focus on arc welding. Certification test fee is separate, with an average cost of up to $200.
This one day workshop is an excellent way to brush up on your skills for the MIG and TIG welding process. This course is designed to give students the knowledge and confidence needed to improve their welding skills. Please wear a long sleeve cotton shirt (or welding jacket) and steel toed boots. Bring: welding helmet, welding gloves, safety glasses, needle nose pliers (to cut welding wire) and tape measure.
