This combined course is designed for public school teachers who have been approved to carry firearms on school premises. This course includes CLEET-approved training to meet state requirements, including Security Guard I, Security Guard II, MMPI Testing, and Security Guard IV. •Only Security Guard IV requires the use of a firearm, which must be provided by the student. All firearm training will be conducted off-site at a shooting range. Firearms are not allowed on the Autry Tech campus. Phase I includes interpreting security guard law, first aid, fire extinguishers and writing field notes and reports. You will also interpret legal powers. Phase II includes public relations, fixed post duties, patrolling and investigating security incidents. Cost of the class includes first attempt for the certification exam. MMPI testing is not included in this course. Students will be enrolled in MMPI testing during this course. MMPI testing is $115/person. Phase IV uses either a revolver or a semiautomatic pistol, but not both, in a single class. To complete the training with both types of handguns, you need to enroll twice. You will need a duty style holster, belt, three magazines, magazine pouch and 450 to 500 rounds of ammunition. Reloaded ammo is not allowed to be used in this course. Instruction fulfills the CLEET Armed License Training requirement for the type of weapon used. Price includes first attempt at written certification test. The BLS Instructor course consists of three parts: computer-based training, Basic Life Support course and AHA (American Heart Association) curriculum and guidelines. Each instructor candidate is required to present a portion of the curriculum while they are monitored by the training center faculty. ^heart:heart association
This is advanced training for those already certified as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and must deliver nutrition or medications via feeding tubes either nasogastric or gastric. It is also for the CMA who will need to administer medications in the inhalable or nebulizer form. These types of Certified Medication Aides can work in Nursing facilities or Continuum of Care facilities, Specialized facilities, Residential Care homes, Adult Day Care facilities, and Assisted Living centers. This course blends theory and practical skills in the classroom.
The State of Oklahoma requires people be certified or licensed to administer medications in nursing and health facilities. In this course you will learn to administer medications and how medications affect the body. Become eligible to take the CMA certification exam. Clinical and written certification tests are included in the course fee.

The Emergency Medical Responder is an integral part of the Emergency Medical Services System. The term "first responder" has been applied to the first individual that arrives at the scene regardless of the individual's credentials. This class will provide students with the core knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function in the capacity of a first responder. Each student's first attempt at the certification test is included in the schedule and cost of the course.
This training will develop you into a successful EMT and meet the requirements set forth by the State Department of Health. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to take the national registry exam. Course cost covers books and class supplies, additional costs of black slacks, black belt, and black leather enclosed shoes are the responsibility of the student. This class will be a portion of in classroom, hybrid online cognitive learning, hands on skill labs that will take place on pre-determined dates and 36 hours of clinicals on an ambulance. The instructor will be available through phone and email during the week.

Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the certification exams for Long Term Care Nurse Aides CNA to be placed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Nurse Aide Registry. Attendance during all classes and clinicals is required by state law. CPR and state certification tests are included in course fees.
