The National Safety Council Professional Truck Driver (PTD) course is an instructor-led course designed to provide professional truck drivers with the knowledge and defensive driving strategies required for driving collision and citation free. The course focuses on collision prevention through hazard recognition and application of collision avoidance techniques. Throughout the course, participants learn how to recognize both potential and immidiate hazards, how to avoid collisions in a variety of driving conditions, and how to choose safe and legal driving habits, attitudes, and behaviors. The emphasis is on professional truck drivers' responsibility to protect the motoring public and themselves. Participants are engaged through group activities, discussion and self-awareness-oriented instruments that relate to their driving tendencies.
These fusion operations courses are for first time operators, experienced operators seeking formal qualification, those with expired qualifications, or anyone with a qualification that did not come from McElroy University.
This course is for adult, child, and infant CPR. To obtain the certification card you must pass a performance test.
In this operator qualification course, McElroy University students will learn how to butt fuse small diameter HDPE and MDPE pipe, up to 6" DIPS, using manually operated McElroy equipment such as the Mini-Mc® and Pit Bull® 26. Along with fusion machine operation, class participants will also learn the theory of plastic pipe fusion, keys to contributing to a safe jobsite, and more. This course includes two hours of online prerequisite modules along with one day of in-person class for hands-on training and testing. Upon successful completion of the course material and testing, students receive a qualification that is valid for 2 years.
In this course you will be introduced to some basic home maintenance tasks such as, 120v outlet replacement, basics of electrical distribution and replacement of circuit breakers. You will also be introduced to the basics of home plumping to include replacement of a latrine and the components associated.
This class is intended for the person that wants to do the basic maintenance on their own cars. This will help save money and helps you take pride in your vehicle. Topics covered could include, changing your oil, changing a tire, changing a light bulb, how to check fuses, etc.
