Business & Industry Services (BIS) Trainer – Heavy Equipment Operator/Driver Simulator



 Education: Bachelor’s degree in area of specialization or equivalent training experience preferred.


Certificates/Licenses: Class A CDL with X, T, & P endorsements required.


 Experience: Requires at least two years’ experience in developing and/or presenting educational activities.  Three years tractor-trailer, over-the-road driving experience and/or heavy equipment operation. Knowledge of current state and federal regulations relating to the trucking industry.


 Skills: Must have excellent organizational, planning, implementation, and communication skills. Must be able to work flexible hours as well as travel extensively over 50% of the time and stay overnight often. Other skills needed are: must possess the ability to work with people at all levels of education and experience; must possess patience and ability to cope with conflicting points of view and also the ability to deal with unexpected and unusual situations; must be able to function under pressure as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and highly motivated; must be able to accommodate shifting priorities and flexible schedules; Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; must have strong facilitation skills; must be outgoing and dynamic; must demonstrate strong leadership skills; must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs and handle basic troubleshooting; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.


PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for planning, developing, presenting, and documenting educational/training programs based upon industry standards and company specifications in assigned industrial fields, i.e. transportation, heavy equipment, etc.


Adjunct – Clinical Skills Actress

Autry Technology Center is seeking qualified individuals to serve as an Adjunct Clinical Skills Actress. The only requirement is that the person does NOT have a nursing background. The actress is someone for the tester to perform their skills on based on the scenario they are given (i.e. blood pressure, range of motion, change bedding, move from bed to wheelchair).


Adjunct Aircraft Sheet Metal Instructor


 Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in aircraft manufacturing including sheet metal fabrication and assembly; supervisory experience of apprentices and journeymen; computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office; superior communication skills; experience handling diverse workplace environments; teaching experience and/or teaching qualification would be considered an asset. Military experience preferred.


PRIMARY FUNCTION:      To instruct students in the field of aircraft structural repairs using precision sheet metal fabrication and assembly. Curriculum to include, but not limited to, major aircraft composite and structural repairs; working from drawings and/or identical parts or from brief statements of general requirements; marking sheet metal for cutting, drilling, bending, and trimming; marking proper allowance for forming operations; proper use of forming equipment.

DIRECT SUPERVISOR:      Industrial Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Successful candidate will have the energy, commitment, motivation and experience required to teach this course.
