Business & Industry Services (BIS) – Safety Trainer


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or related discipline preferred.  Technology savvy with strong people/communication skills.

Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing/construction environment highly desirable.

Certifications: Certified OSHA 501 or 500 Trainer preferred

Skills: Interpersonal, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.


PRIMARY FUNCTION: To strengthen businesses by providing safety training and services to mitigate losses to people, property and the environment.


Adult Career & Development (ACD) Support Staff



Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Career training or job related experience highly desired.                                               

Skills: A general knowledge of computers with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.  Must also have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, customers, and the general public.


PRIMARY FUNCTION: To assist ACD Coordinators with enrollment, data management, and other functions of the ACD office.


Adjunct Aircraft Sheet Metal Instructor


Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in aircraft manufacturing including sheet metal fabrication and assembly; supervisory experience of apprentices and journeymen; computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office; superior communication skills; experience handling diverse workplace environments; teaching experience and/or teaching qualification would be considered an asset. Military experience preferred.


PRIMARY FUNCTION:      To instruct students in the field of aircraft structural repairs using precision sheet metal fabrication and assembly. Curriculum to include, but not limited to, major aircraft composite and structural repairs; working from drawings and/or identical parts or from brief statements of general requirements; marking sheet metal for cutting, drilling, bending, and trimming; marking proper allowance for forming operations; proper use of forming equipment.

DIRECT SUPERVISOR:      Industrial Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Successful candidate will have the energy, commitment, motivation and experience required to teach this course.
