As we wrap up another fiscal year, I can’t say that I ever predicted the events of fiscal year 2020. Our school year was interrupted as we navigated the events of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students met the challenge of distance learning while our staff adjusted to working from home while continuing to serve our community. Our team has found new innovative ways to deliver training to our students and clients during a time that was anything but normal. We were forced out of our comfort zone, but I am proud to say Autry Tech stepped up to the challenge.
Moving into fiscal year 2021, there are still plenty of unknowns. We are continuing to plan for the return of our full-time students in August, but we know the situation is continuously evolving. Our campus leadership is hard at work creating alternative plans and securing resources to handle whatever situation we are faced with during the next few months. At Autry Technology Center, the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. While we don’t know what the future holds, we are committed to our mission of providing a productive and prepared workforce for employers in Oklahoma.
